Research Interests:

I’m interested in ecology, especially how environments and organisms interact with each other and how this might be reflected in their phenotypes and genotypes. For me, change is the most unique aspect of biology, and nothing represents that better than studying these interactions.

Personal Interests:

I enjoy reading, as well as both listening to and performing music. I mostly read science fiction, as it’s always interesting to see how others speculate about the applications of science. Although I’m not nearly as creative, I occasionally try to write or plan stories of my own. For music, I play the flute, and am active in both my school band and individually. I find that playing in ensembles helps me to open myself to listening to others – a valuable benefit.
