Expected Graduation: May 2027

2025 Cellular and Molecular Biology of Stress Summer Research Fellowship

Research Interests:
I have a wide variety of research interests. Here in the Molecular Ecology Lab, I am currently researching the effects of elevation on alpine ground beetles (Nebria), using both genetics and tracheal system morphology to try to measure a hypoxia response. At Oberlin, I’ve spent a lot of time working with the college’s biology specimen collections and looking at applications of museum collections in teaching and research. I am also especially interested in epigenetics, conservation, immunology, disease ecology, and specifically the unique immune systems of bats.

Personal Interests:
I enjoy most creative endeavors, and spend a lot of my time drawing, sewing, and in the darkroom developing film. I have also done a bit of taxidermy. On a nice day, I love to sit outside and read or go paddle-boarding, and I will always indulge an adventure.
